SAF welcomes Barb Larsson!

We’re excited to welcome a new addition to the SAF team, Finance Assistant Barb Larsson. With teaching experience at Kent Career Technical Center as well as previous finance experience through her position at the City of Kentwood, Barb is the perfect fit for our organization.

In welcoming Barb, we must bid a bittersweet farewell to our former Finance Assistant, Marilyn Gilbreath. She has joined the team at Tall Turf Ministries as their Office Administrator, and though she’ll be sorely missed, we know she is moving on to exciting new challenges!

Those of you attending MindShare 2012 on Tuesday, April 24 will get the chance to meet Barb and witness the new SAF team in action! Registration is happening now; for more information check out our MindShare page.

Believing all students deserve the chance to succeed, the Student Advancement Foundation has raised almost $8 million since 1993 to provide Grand Rapids Public Schools students the educational tools and enrichment experiences they need to learn. We link community resources with the needs of our city’s students, not just by raising money, but also by identifying and strengthening partnerships and opportunities to engage the community in our efforts.
